Hillary Clinton: The Real Insurrectionist
Whenever politicians and their media sycophants want to bury a story that damages their shared goals, the story is released to the public on a Friday or during the weekend – especially a holiday weekend where Americans are generally too busy to pay attention to the news. Whether by coincidence or design, the latest news from the never-ending John Durham special counsel investigation was released this past Saturday. And it is an absolute bombshell!
In a parallel universe where the media does not serve as the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party, this news would have been earth-shattering. Instead, it seems as though more people are talking about the Super Bowl halftime show today than the news that a former First Lady spied on the White House.
Maybe folks on the right have grown tired of seeing the Clintons get away with committing multiple felonies without suffering any consequences. Maybe folks on the left would rather divert attention away from the 2016 election and talk about January 6th instead. Maybe those in the middle have become so jaded by constant political scandals that a story like this merely blends into the background. Whatever the case may be, what happened during the 2016 election is, without question, the greatest political scandal in U.S. history. The more we learn about it, the more scandalous it becomes.
THE BACK STORY
To people in the know, news of the Hillary Clinton campaign’s coordination with the FBI to spy on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election is nothing new. We have known about this scandal for years now, and virtually nothing has been done about it beyond a handful of indictments of some low-level Clinton and FBI operatives.
In case you’ve been living in a cave, or on a college campus, or in a left-wing echo chamber, and you aren’t aware of the developments in this story over the past several years, let me attempt to summarize.
During the summer of 2016, after Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump secured their nominations for president, the Clinton campaign paid for opposition research into the Trump campaign through their lawyers, who hired a company called Fusion GPS, which in turn hired a man by the name of Christopher Steele. Steele, a former British intelligence agent, gathered “intel” from various shady Russian characters including a man by the name of Igor Danchenko.
Danchenko gave Steele unverified information he has said was merely gossip, such as alleged phone conversations between members of the Trump campaign and Russians, meetings between Team Trump and Russian agents, and the infamous “pee tape,” which allegedly gave the Russians “compromising information” to use against Trump should he win the presidency.
All of this “intel” was gathered together into a document that is famously referred to as the “Steele dossier.” This dossier was leaked to the media, which ran wild with the story, claiming that Trump was “colluding with the Russians.” The dossier also played a central and essential role in the FBI’s application for a FISA warrant to spy on low-level Trump campaign staffer Carter Page and, by extension, the entire Trump campaign.
The FBI was caught red-handed altering these FISA applications by excluding crucial information, such as the fact that they were aware that Page had been working as a CIA asset for many years, and the fact that the FBI themselves had conducted a thorough investigation of the dossier and concluded that it was hot garbage. As the penalty for forging these documents to illegally spy on Clinton’s political opponents, the low-level lawyer who forged the documents was given a slap on the wrist.
Likewise, the low-level Clinton lawyer (Michael Sussmann) who lied to the FBI about the Trump campaign’s involvement with a Russian bank and claimed that he was bringing them this misinformation on his own behalf as a concerned citizen, was indicted through the Durham probe, and has also been given a slap on the wrist.
Hillary Clinton herself reported this phony story about Trump’s connection to the Russian Alfa Bank in several tweets the week before the 2016 election as her pathetic “October surprise.” “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank,” she wrote in one tweet. “It’s time for Trump to answer serious questions about his ties to Russia,” she wrote in another.
This coordination between the Clinton campaign and the FBI to illegally spy on the Trump campaign, and to create a narrative of Trump collusion designed to damage Trump’s presidency before he even took office, represents the greatest scandal in U.S. history. The latest news from Durham further amplifies this scandal.
THE LATEST NEWS
Despite the mockery from the left when Trump first tweeted that he and his campaign were being “wiretapped,” we all now know that it actually happened. No one disputes this. Thanks to Durham’s latest report, we know that not only did Team Hillary spy on Trump during the campaign, but they continued to spy on him even after he moved into the White House.
The Government’s evidence at trail will also establish that among the Internet data Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited was domain name system (“DNS”) Internet traffic pertaining to (i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (“EOP”). (Tech Executive-1’s employer, Internet Company-1, had come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the EOP as part of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided DNS resolution services to the EOP. Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump.)
“Tech Executive-1” above is a man by the name of Rodney Joffe. Joffe is a tech executive at a Virginia company that specializes in internet services for U.S. companies and government clients. That relationship with our government allows Joffe’s company to access information it would not otherwise be authorized to access, including the DNS services in the White House. A former client of Sussmann’s, Joffe also was offered a job by the Clinton campaign to a top security job if she had won the election. “I definitely would not take the job under Trump,” Joffe wrote in an email collected by Durham.
According to Durham’s report, Joffe worked with researchers at an American university to analyze the enormous amount of information that was collected as a result of these hacks. The researchers were tasked with mining all of these data to establish a narrative tying President Trump to Russia. The purpose, according to emails from Joffe secured by Durham, was to “please certain VIP’s.” All of this “research” was allegedly being done in connection with a federal government cybersecurity research contract – a contract bought and paid for with U.S. taxpayer dollars. In other words, U.S. taxpayers paid for the Clinton campaign to “dig up dirt” on the president.
It is disturbing enough that the Clinton campaign would actively spy on their opposition in the midst of a campaign and use whatever information they gathered to discredit and destroy their competition. It is an entirely new level of disturbing that she would continue to spy on Trump even after the election. What purpose would that serve? Is it possible she meant to delegitimize the Trump presidency and overturn the election? Perhaps she thought she could spark a constitutional crisis that would result in her elevation to the presidency?
Democrats have spent the past year howling over Donald Trump’s “attempt to overturn the election” by seeking legal means to do so. Here, we have extremely compelling proof that Hillary Clinton meant to do the same, but through highly-illegal measures…and the Democrats are silent.
COVERING HER TRACKS
Given what we now know, it seems entirely plausible – more than likely, even – that the true purpose of the Russian hoax was to distract the American people and media from what the Clintons had been doing for years. There is a very well-documented paper trail of “donations” made to the Clintons from Russians while Bill served as president and while Hillary served as a high-ranking member of the Senate and as Secretary of State. There is a good reason why the Clinton Foundation donations dried up the moment Hillary lost the 2016 election. Foreign “investors” were well aware that when they needed a favor from the U.S. State Department, a donation to the Clinton Foundation paid tremendous dividends.
A former senior-level intelligence official within the Obama administration (who has remained anonymous, so take from it what you will) has confirmed this past week that in the lead-up to the 2016 election, the FBI was made aware that up to 30,000 of Hillary Clinton’s “missing” emails had been compromised by Russian hackers. The FBI was given digital copies of the emails, which they verified as authentic. All of this happened before James Comey addressed the media and exonerated Clinton. Of course, we now know that Comey drafted that exoneration months before he delivered it to the media. We know this because Comey, himself, admitted it in his memoir.
We all know there was no way that Hillary Clinton would ever face any consequences for her actions while she represented Obama’s anointed successor. The Obama Justice Department staged a play in which they all pretended to investigate the matter regarding her missing emails, the illegal use of a private server, and exposing national security information to hackers. But, just in case those emails managed to leak to the public, Obama’s DOJ staged another play in which they deflected attention away from Hillary and toward the Trump campaign. Their “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump’s “Russian collusion” was created to do just that.
THE PLOT TO DESTROY THE PRESIDENT
Hillary was hardly alone in this scheme. We know that Barack Obama and his VP, Joe, were briefed on the Crossfire Hurricane operation prior to Trump taking office. On January 5, 2017, a meeting was held in the White House that included Obama, Biden, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and FBI Director James Comey.
During that meeting, the outgoing team debated how much information relating to Russia they should share with the incoming administration. Obama was fully-aware of the danger in allowing the Trump administration to learn all of the details about the Clinton campaign’s opposition research and the spying on the Trump campaign by the FBI and a Clinton-funded team of hackers.
A plan was formulated to begin leaking information to the media to support the narrative that the incoming administration was compromised by Russians. One of the Obama team’s first objectives was to eliminate the threat posed by Trump’s incoming National Security Advisor, Gen. Michael Flynn. Flynn, more than perhaps anyone, would have full access to review the Obama administration’s Russian collusion investigation. Obama warned Trump not to name Flynn to his cabinet. Trump did it anyway.
In early January, Flynn was asked to sit down for an “informal briefing” by the FBI as part of the transition of power. Instead, he was ambushed by Strzok and another FBI agent, who – as a handwritten note by FBI counterintelligence director Bill Priestap has revealed – were directed to “get him to lie” so that they could prosecute him or get him fired.
Flynn was accused, without evidence, of lying to the FBI. Vice President Mike Pence was told by someone – we don’t know who, but can guess it was Strzok – that Flynn lied to both the FBI and Pence himself. We can guess it was Strzok because his assistant, Katherine Seaman, just happens to be the wife of Pence’s chief of staff, Josh Pitcock. When Flynn pushed back against the FBI’s accusations, the agency threatened to go after his family.
Flynn was forced to resign under pressure from Pence. The incoming Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, foolishly recused himself from all Russia-related investigations into Trump’s administration. Media leaks and sensationalized accusations of massive collusion and corruption within the Trump administration crippled Trump’s ability to gather a significant consensus toward accomplishing his agenda. Given that, it is absolutely remarkable how much he managed to accomplish.
DOES ANYONE CARE?
Judging by my Facebook feed, it seems like no one cares about the greatest scandal in U.S. history. I saw a lot more chatter over the fake Russian collusion “scandal” in the four years of Trump’s presidency than I have seen over the actual scandal.
That said, I am encouraged by the poll released by the TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics, which shows that 75% of the respondents are following this story and want prosecutors to continue their investigation. The most shocking stat from that poll is that 66% of Democrats – a 20-point increase since last October – are now interested in this story.
There is still hope for justice to be served.
